WYNRS Japan Tour

Early in 2009 Yoshie Zudov toured Japan with the WYNRS soccer academy based in New Zealand.

WYNRS was founded by Wynton Rufer on his return to New Zealand in 1997 after playing professional soccer in Europe, it is pronounced "winners" and stands for Wynton Rufer Soccer.

This academy works to develop young stars and to produce future professional athletes.

On this 2 week trip the boys played 15 games all in, stayed with host families for one week and had opportunities to do sight seeing and shopping, they also visited the Disney Land Japan in Hiroshima.

They had a tour mum to look after the boys who did the photo taking and provided a hug when necessary.

The boys were amazed at the level of skill some of their opposition demonstrated and while playing in Hiroshima Yoshie was offered a scholarship to the Kanagawa University to play soccer when he is of age to attend.

This was a good experience for Yoshie and the team where the got to see the sort of international standards that exist and that they need to strive towards to become the best of the best.
